In the Spirit world there is no linear time, which is why our helpers in Spirit can do the seemingly impossible…
I used to attend a gym across town and I was always struggling to get to a particular gym class on time. Whenever I arrived, after a mad dash to get there, there would be hardly any spaces left and I’d be stuck at the front of the class (I prefer to be at the back of the class).
On this particular day, when I realised that I was running late again, I made a plea to my helpers in Spirit to “please stop time so I can get to class on time, get a good spot at the back of the room and not be rushing or flustered”.
I then let the request go - releasing my haste and worry about the time. I put firm and full trust in the fact that I had put out a request and that the Universe would fulfill it.
As I drove to the gym I made a concerted effort not to look at the clock, or drive hastily and to remain calmly in the present. When my mind started to fret, I just reaffirmed that I would get there on time and all would be well.
So, having left late, driven across town, parked, walked into the building, used my card in the turnstile, walked to the locker room, put my bag in the locker, gone to the loo, washed and dried my hands and then walked up to the studio, the chances were that I was going to be stuck at the front of the class again.
But lo and behold, when I walked in the studio, there were only three other people in the room, the teacher hadn’t arrived yet and there was music playing over the stereo. The words of the song were “... turn back the hands of time”!
