HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL AND A HUGE WARM WELCOME TO 2021!
Firstly, I want to thank you for your support of my work, without which I would not be able to continue to provide my services to you.
As we breathe a sigh of relief that 2020 is over, we can look to the future with hopes of improvements all round.
2020 was a year for letting go. A year of release. A year of major change – to lives, jobs, careers, businesses, relationships, travel and our way of life. And the hardest thing with change is ACCEPTANCE.
I have certainly struggled with this all year. My husband and I parted after 20 years at the start of 2020, leading to the sale of our family home, re-homing of our beloved dog, giving away of my belongings, sorting out a lifetime of memorabilia and 'stuff' because I am moving to a flat where there won't be space for it and a return to employment to pay the bills. These are some of the most stressful life changes – all during a pandemic, with no personal support bubble (I thankfully have an after school childcare support bubble!).
Now I tell you this, not for pity or sympathy. I am telling you this because I have realised that I made the process so much harder for myself because I couldn't ACCEPT these changes.
Upon reflection I realise that this isn't the first time I have pressed the reset button in my own life and made major life changes and ultimately they were always proceeded by wonderful new opportunities and experiences. Exciting things can happen outside of our comfort zone! I have just spent far too long in my comfort zone and in attachment to everything in my life.
But change is inevitable, change is necessary and change is the only constant – just look at what changes humanity has undertaken over the centuries or even in our own lifetime! Change is part of all the cycles on Earth.
Letting go is part of the process. Releasing the old is part of the process. Acceptance is part of the process.
ACCEPTANCE of what has happened and ACCEPTANCE of what is.
Rather than fighting it, once we truly face and accept what is showing up for us, we remove the resistance and inner turmoil. Acceptance frees our energy to start making empowering new choices for ourselves.
Remember “this too will pass”.
We are all going through a huge period of change together. It is this togetherness that has brought families, communities and nations together through the pandemic and shown us what is important in our lives.

2021 is sure to have some more changes in store for us, but use acceptance as your tool to help you move through them with ease.
And as J K Rowling once said “Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.”
May we all build solid foundations in 2021 with much love, joy, peace, prosperity and blessings for all.
